Summer Reading Camp plays an important role in students’ literacy development. Join us as we discuss the steps involved in designing and implementing an engaging and effective summer reading camp. The purposes of the presentation are to:
- provide practices, tools, and tips presented in a practical, how-to-manner
- guide the development and implementation plan for summer reading camps using a multidimensional approach that includes creating a culture of reading, cognitive skill development based on student data, and community engagement
- reflect upon current strengths and challenges when planning for the implementation of Summer Reading Camps.
